Monday all ready? Who’s idea was this? Oh well, let’s get the week started. I had the enjoyment of making a little girl’s dream come true last week. Miss Jenna became a “Real Cowgirl”, and she can prove it. Silly old Uncle Mike, always jousting at windmills to put a smile on a child’s face. A few of the comments I received about that adventure tells me that some people may have forgotten that “dreaming” is not the same thing as “having a dream”. While dreaming is free, dreams are not. With that in mind;
I tell all the children, dreaming is free. Dreaming is free so you can do a lot of it, so be dreaming often and be dreaming big. Only then will you find a dream worth making come true. But I also tell them; While dreaming is free, dreams are not. It becomes a question of what you’re willing to do to make those dreams come true. Real dreams are so few and precious, for they are the ones you work to make come true. Every dream that you make come true, carries with it some cost, some sacrifice, and the bigger the dream, the higher that cost. The higher the cost, the sweeter the reward when your dream becomes your reality. This is what inspires the true dreamers of the world. A true dreamer isn’t the one who is busy dreaming, it’s the one who’s busy making their dreams come true.
As a true dreamer, I have learned some of the sweetest rewards comes when you can make the dreams of a little one come true. For the little ones dream the biggest dreams of all.
